Full disclosure: I was already a big supporter of First Lady Michelle Obama, a fan of James Corden's 'Carpool Karaoke' and in favour of supporting efforts to improve access to education for girls around the world.
I also really like Stevie Wonder.
So my reaction when FLOTUS made an appearance on the Corden program this week: right on.
Then I realized a good friend and one-time Ketchum colleague Ashley Schlag was involved with the project through her current role at AOL's MAKERS, and I upgraded to oh hell yeah.
This is how to raise awareness, ladies and gentlemen.
It was produced by AOL's MAKERS, a women's leadership platform, and was released in March after the first lady spoke at the South by Southwest festival in Texas. It benefits Let Girls Learn, an initiative launched last year by the first lady and President Barack Obama to address the barriers that keep more than 62 million girls around the world out of school.
