Responding to the negativity directed at women, minorities, immigrants and the anti-science rhetoric that took hold during the US Presidential election a small group of 20 women scientists took action. Drafting an Open Letter they resolved to "re-affirm our commitment to build a more inclusive society and scientific enterprise."
Starting with just 500 signatures the Open Letter now has many thousands of women in science pledging to accept the challenge that lies ahead as they leverage the power they hold as role models to young girls, women and communities as a whole.

In the aftermath of the election results, a group of women in the sciences has banded together to speak out against anti-intellectualism, inequality, sexism and discrimination
